I've been so out of it the last two months. Especially mentally. I couldn't wait to be here for decades, working, place of our own, me and the kids, or at least my son. Doing our own thing, and here we are. But the thing is at work though, I know my stuff, I know enough about vehicles I should be ace-ing this, but seems as soon as I step in the door, my brain dumps any and all knowledge out  about almost everything out. I feel so stupid most days.

Well I got a job now. Working at Auto Zone Auto Parts store. Yesterday was my first day. Had to go all the way down to Goodlettsville for training. Long 6 hours. Started off by watching a video, visited  the hub/distribution center (DC) for a few, broke for lunch then spent the last 2 hours at another store going over the computer stuff and shelf locations, etc. I mean it was interesting and boring at the same time, LOL.  Also got a line up for an apartment. 2.5 miles from where I be working and 1.5 miles from my daughters apartment. $575 a month, well $600 a month cause we'll have a $25 for our cat, Zoe. I figure after rent and utilities we'll have about $700, maybe a little more, left over. So hope to build savings back up, cross our fingers. 

Well as of this evening I have looked at 23 places, 4 weren't hiring, but did apply to 19 places. Only heard from one as far yes or no. It was a no from Wal-mart, which I have worked for before. That's all good. I'll keep applying, I'm sure someone will pick me up, right? 

It's been a month, I know. Not much has changed since last post. Found out a couple of new things about my great-grandmother on my paternal side. Seems Like my great-grandmother, who would be my dad's maternal grandmother, divorced her husband, father of my grandmother. This was back in 1905, so rare instance. Reasoning was due to abuse and neglect of family. Up until now I didn't know why she was no longer married to him until I found articles in newspapers.com.  Not been working at all on my D & D stuff. Guess at this point focus is more on finding a job, a house, and the genealogy. I seem to be able to focus on limited subjects. Yea! Go me! (please not the sarcasm)

Went and looked at my Home-brews, looks like my character stats I made for " Stavros Amastacia " the Wood Elf Arch-druid has been accessed 78 times on Reddit , and my " The Wandering Oak " adventure dungeon crawl has been accessed 408 times.  Thought that was cool. Got a couple of comments for Stavros but nothing major, no comments on the adventure.  Been on and off on the genealogy, just getting frustrated with the brick walls I've been hitting and no really new matches as far as the DNA goes. Was hoping when results came in from the holiday sales between Black Friday and Christmas I would have gotten more. 

So, I may of mentioned that I have also done the DNA testing for my genealogy. If I haven't, well I also did DNA testing for my genealogy. Before I did it myself only one cousin on my paternal (father's) side had done it. Since then my sister, 3 cousins n that side have done and recently one cousin on my maternal (mothers) side has done the test. We have found 3 cousins on my paternal side we didn't know we had. A first cousin of mine had 3 kids we didn't know of. Well couple of people heard he had a daughter but that was about it. Well find out he had 3 kids by 3 different mothers. I kind of expected something like this from that side of the family, just not from this family member. He was also apparently involved with a lot of, um, let's say extracurricular activities. Well I found out some news last night about my first cousin on my maternal side who was tested. It was mind blowing and I am still not too sure how I feel about it because I never expected anything...

Been working on genealogy more so than D&D lately. I don't know why, maybe burnout, maybe just my mood, creative juices lacking. Who knows? I want to but sometimes I can't seem to focus on it. 

Well here is the first post of 2019, as I have my after dinner smoke and hide in my old room at my brothers hose now, that I grew up in from 14-18. Been here 3 weeks. Daughter and I agreed that the increase of rent at the other place was too much, plus they wanted a "place of their own", granted they have a room mate there but he isn't family and he is their age. I get bad vibes from him, the room mate. Any how, I was expecting to get approved for disability, which I didn't, and have a place for son and myself, but the denial through a wrench in that, and well we had already put in the 2 month move out notice, plus son and I couldn't afford over there either. We are waiting on being placed into housing, (a/k/a/ the projects). Maybe now that the holidays are over things will move a little faster, still, it is hard. So I hide back here, on the computer, working on the genealogy and D & D home-brew and just try and stay out of the way. Help out if and where I c...
